Gaza Herald —In the latest development highlighting Israel’s escalating tactics against Palestinian civilians and professionals, new details have emerged regarding the abduction of Dr. Marwan Al-Hams. The incident has sparked outrage among human rights advocates who say the case reflects a dangerous pattern of targeting medical workers and their families in violation of international law.
Israel has released new information about the abduction of Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, shedding light on the deceptive operation used to capture the respected Palestinian doctor.
According to the reports, an Israeli agent speaking fluent French approached Dr. Al-Hams pretending to represent a Belgian documentary film company called “Lion Heart Production.” The agent claimed the company was working on a new documentary project and invited the doctor to participate. After Dr. Al-Hams agreed, the so-called production team used the opportunity to seize him while he was on his way to continue his work at a field hospital.
The targeting did not end there. Shortly after his abduction, his daughter was also kidnapped as a form of pressure and blackmail, further demonstrating Israel’s willingness to use civilians , including children , as leverage.
The case of Dr. Al-Hams underscores the severe dangers faced by Palestinian medical workers and their families under Israeli occupation. Human rights groups continue to call for international accountability, stressing that these covert operations amount to clear violations of humanitarian norms. As the crisis deepens, advocates warn that silence from the global community only emboldens further abuses against Palestinians.
