Gaza Herald – The Palestinian Prisoners’ Information Office has released a verified list of 1,468 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip imprisoned by Israel, obtained after more than a month of negotiations through mediators as part of the ceasefire and exchange agreement.
The office confirmed that every name on the list has been authenticated, except for 11 individuals still under investigation due to missing or unclear data.
The office said Israel repeatedly delayed, altered, and manipulated the list before handing it over, accusing the occupation of concealing the identities and conditions of additional detainees still held in unknown locations. It stressed that Israel bears full responsibility for the lives and safety of all prisoners and for any omissions or tampering with the disclosed list.
Officials urged mediators to pressure Israel to reveal the fate of all remaining disappeared detainees, ensure their medical and humanitarian rights, and halt the systematic violations committed against Palestinian prisoners, abuses that form part of the ongoing genocide and the broader machinery of repression targeting Gaza’s population.
