Israel’s Blockade Starves Gaza Under Ceasefire

Gaza Herald – The UN World Food Programme warns that Israel’s ongoing blockade is crippling food aid deliveries across Gaza, leaving families on the brink of starvation despite the so-called ceasefire. Only one million people have received aid parcels, far below the target of 1.6 million, forcing families to survive on a single food basket every ten days.

The WFP says Israel’s severe restrictions on border access have strangled humanitarian deliveries, with only two crossings operating under full Israeli control. The closure of key routes has blocked access to northern Gaza entirely, forcing aid convoys onto dangerous, hours-long detours through rubble and active military zones.

The agency is calling for immediate reopening of all crossings, warning that starvation is being used as a weapon of war, deepening Israel’s ongoing genocide against Gaza’s population.
