Gaza Herald ـ Hamas has handed over the bodies of three Israeli captives following what it described as a complex recovery mission inside areas under direct Israeli military control.
The remains were retrieved from beneath the rubble in Bani Suheila after days of coordinated operations involving resistance fighters and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The Qassam Brigades said the ongoing Israeli demolitions in eastern Khan Younis and Gaza City are obstructing efforts to locate additional bodies, warning that continued attacks, rubble expansion, and restricted access to destroyed neighborhoods are directly delaying further retrievals. Eight Israeli captive bodies are still believed to be buried across the ruins.
Analysts say the search is becoming increasingly difficult due to hundreds of thousands of tons of debris from Israel’s months-long genocide, while Israel continues to condition progress in the ceasefire on the return of all remains, effectively weaponizing the rubble it created.
