UN Expert Condemns Mass Killing of Palestinian Women

Gaza Herald – The UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women, Reem Alsalem, sharply condemned Israel for the killing of Palestinian women and girls in the thousands, calling it a defining moment of global indifference to atrocities.

Alsalem warned that Israel’s attacks have normalized such crimes worldwide, stating, “What happens in Palestine does not stay in Palestine,” as the world grows numb to similar violence against women and girls elsewhere.

She emphasized that the scale of the horrors inflicted on Palestinian women defies existing legal frameworks, which are insufficient to address the magnitude of Israel’s genocidal campaign.

The UN expert called for urgent international accountability, highlighting that continued silence only emboldens further attacks and perpetuates the ongoing mass killing.
