Over 80% of Electricity Network Destroyed by Israeli Genocide

Gaza Herald – The Gaza Electricity Distribution Company confirmed catastrophic losses following two years of Israel’s genocidal war, with over 80% of the power grid and infrastructure completely destroyed.

Damage to the energy sector is estimated at $728 million, after the entire system was rendered inoperable.

Company spokesperson Mohammed Thabet said that more than 80% of operational vehicles and equipment, 90% of storage facilities, and 70% of company buildings were wiped out, leaving Gaza’s remaining population in darkness and without the means to restore electricity anytime soon.
