Gaza’s Death Toll Surges Past 67,000 as World Awaits Ceasefire Implementation

Gaza Herald – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has announced a staggering rise in the number of victims of Israel’s ongoing genocide, with 67,194 killed and 169,890 injured since October 7, 2023, marking one of the deadliest atrocities in modern history.

Over the past 24 hours alone, 11 Palestinians were killed and 49 wounded, as Israeli airstrikes continued to pound residential neighborhoods and displacement shelters across the Strip.

The Ministry also reported that 2,615 humanitarian workers have been killed and more than 19,177 injured, underscoring the systematic targeting of aid and rescue teams despite the legal protections guaranteed to them under international humanitarian law. Between March 18, 2025, and today, the genocide has claimed 13,598 lives and left 57,849 others wounded, as Israeli attacks intensified across the besieged enclave.

Civil Defense and ambulance crews remain unable to reach countless victims still trapped beneath the rubble or lying in the streets due to relentless bombardment and severe shortages of fuel and equipment. As talks of a ceasefire circulate, Gaza continues to bleed, a shattered land waiting for the world to prove that justice can still breathe.
