Gaza Faces Threat of Total Ruin as Israel Levels 30 Towers

Gaza Herald – The Israeli occupation has intensified its genocidal assault on Gaza City, with Defense Minister Israel Katz confirming that the army has bombed 30 multistory residential buildings in recent strikes.

Katz warned that unless Hamas surrenders its weapons and releases all captives, “they will be destroyed and Gaza will be ruined.”

The strikes, which leveled high-rise buildings that once housed hundreds of families, mark a brutal escalation in the campaign that has already left much of the city in rubble. Residents describe entire neighborhoods reduced to ash and concrete, while aid groups warn that the systematic destruction of homes and infrastructure is plunging civilians deeper into an already catastrophic humanitarian crisis.

In the latest chapter of this ongoing assault, Israeli forces this morning issued evacuation orders to residents of three towers, which are: al-Jawhara, al-‘Arouqi, and al-Jalil, in Gaza City’s Public Security Junction, warning families to flee their homes ahead of imminent airstrikes. The buildings shelter dozens of displaced families, underscoring Israel’s continued policy of targeting civilian housing as part of its campaign of collective punishment.

This relentless pattern of demolishing residential towers signals Israel’s intent to press forward with the systematic erasure of Gaza’s urban heart, leaving the city facing the prospect of total devastation.
