Gaza Herald – Entire eastern districts of Gaza, including Zeitoun, Shujaiya, and Tuffah, have been reduced to rubble and emptied of residents amid relentless Israeli bombardment.
Heavy artillery fire and airstrikes continue to pound the areas, leaving nothing but skeletal structures and barren ground. In Zeitoun, what was once a densely populated neighborhood is now described as a wasteland, with only a few buildings left on the verge of collapse.
In the north, Jabalia refugee camp is witnessing what residents call “insane demolitions,” with homes flattened and bulldozers tearing through what remains. Families who once lived in these neighborhoods have been forced to flee westward under fire, with survival often depending on whether they can reach designated “last safe points.” Beyond these points, anyone attempting to move closer to the east or north risks being directly targeted.
Local reports say Abu Iskandar still holds a handful of families, but they are effectively trapped under near-constant random gunfire. Meanwhile, displaced residents and survivors are packed into western neighborhoods such as Saraya, al-Jalaa Street, al-Nasr, the university area, and Tel al-Hawa.
Conditions there are described as dire, with overcrowding, shortages of food and medicine, and no safe spaces left. With communications blackouts cutting off northern Gaza, vast parts of the enclave remain in total darkness, their suffering hidden from the world.
