The Genocide Escalates: Gaza Under Relentless Israeli Strikes

Gaza Herald- The Israeli occupation forces escalated their assault on the Gaza Strip overnight and into the morning, launching heavy airstrikes, artillery fire, and detonating booby-trapped robots in residential areas and displacement camps. The attacks left multiple Palestinians dead and many more wounded.

In Gaza City, quadcopter drones opened fire on homes along Al-Nafaq Street, followed by artillery shelling on Al-Hijani area in Al-Daraj neighborhood, causing casualties, including confirmed fatalities. Later, strikes targeted Al-Labbabidi Street and residential areas near the Islamic Complex in Al-Sabra, while fresh shelling hit Al-Tuffah and Al-Saftawi neighborhoods.

In northern Gaza, Israeli forces carried out repeated demolitions in Jabalia al-Nazla, while drones dropped explosive barrels near Halima Al-Saadiya School in Jabalia. Additional strikes were reported in Jabalia al-Balad and the Al-Zarqa area, where the army detonated an explosive-laden robot.

In southern Gaza, airstrikes struck the Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, where four-year-old Jouri Lafi was killed after shrapnel from the bombing set her body ablaze. The attack also destroyed tents sheltering displaced families in Al-Qadisiyya Camp, killing three more Palestinians.

Displacement camps and shelters were hit multiple times. A tent near Sheikh Radwan Cemetery in Gaza City was bombed twice within hours, causing serious injuries among civilians.

The overnight escalation underscores the extreme danger facing Gaza’s displaced population, with shelters, schools, and cemeteries repeatedly struck in recent attacks.
