Gaza Faces New Wave of Israeli Attacks Targeting Aid Seekers

GazaHerald – Israeli forces carried out a fresh wave of deadly attacks across the Gaza Strip from Thursday night into Friday morning, killing at least 15 Palestinians, including six people who were waiting for humanitarian aid, as strikes intensified in areas crowded with displaced civilians.

In central Gaza, an Israeli airstrike hit the heart of Deir al-Balah at dawn, killing four Palestinians and wounding others, according to medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

In southern Gaza, the Nasser Medical Complex reported two more Palestinians were killed and over 70 injured by Israeli fire as they waited for aid near the Morag axis in Khan Yunis.

Further south, Israeli shelling of displacement tents in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis left seven people dead, raising alarm over the ongoing bombardment of civilian encampments.

Amid the relentless assault, hospitals continue to report rising deaths from hunger. A young man, Karam Al-Jamal, died of malnutrition in northern Gaza, a medical source at Al-Awda Hospital confirmed.

The Nasser Medical Complex also recorded the death of a child from Khan Yunis due to starvation, as famine spreads rapidly across the besieged territory.

Israeli forces, meanwhile, shelled the Al-Jawazat neighborhood west of Gaza City, where thousands of displaced Palestinians are taking refuge, injuring multiple civilians.

And in the northern Zikim area, aid seekers again came under Israeli fire. Medical staff at Al-Shifa Hospital described some of the wounded as being in critical condition.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 51 Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire on Thursday alone, including 23 people who were attempting to collect aid.

The death toll from starvation also continues to rise. The Health Ministry confirmed four new deaths due to malnutrition, pushing the number of famine-related deaths to 12 over the past 48 hours.
