Israeli Strikes Injure Palestinians in Eastern Gaza as Ceasefire Violations Escalate

Gaza Herald – Israeli forces continued their violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement on Monday, carrying out airstrikes, artillery fire and gunfire across several areas of the Strip, causing injuries and damage to Palestinian property, according to local sources and emergency services.

Israeli aircraft carried out two strikes in areas east of Gaza City, accompanied by helicopter gunfire in the same area. Israeli artillery also targeted areas south of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Gaza’s ambulance and emergency services reported injuries after Israeli artillery fire struck an area outside Israeli-controlled positions in the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City. Another Israeli artillery shell struck a home near Al-Sanafour intersection, setting the building on fire.

According to figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 1,262 Palestinians have been killed and 4,168 injured in Gaza since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, while the bodies of 808 Palestinians have been recovered.

Since Israel launched its genocide on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Palestinian death toll has reached 73,391, with 174,280 others injured, according to the ministry.

The latest Israeli attacks come as Palestinians across Gaza continue to live amid widespread destruction, displacement and severe humanitarian conditions, with Israeli military activity continuing despite the ceasefire.
