Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces have committed more than 4,000 documented violations of the Gaza ceasefire since it came into effect, according to Gaza’s Government Media Office, which accused Israel of systematically undermining the truce through continued military attacks across the besieged enclave.
Ismail Al-Thawabta, Director General of the Government Media Office, said the violations have been deliberately carried out in defiance of international humanitarian law and UN-backed agreements, describing them as part of Israeli attacks against the Palestinian population.
According to official figures, the recorded violations include ground incursions, airstrikes, naval attacks, artillery shelling, and direct attacks on residential neighborhoods and displacement camps.
The office said the repeated attacks have killed more than 1,252 Palestinians, the majority of them women, children, and other civilians, while leaving over 4,120 Palestinians injured, further overwhelming Gaza’s already devastated healthcare system.
Al-Thawabta stressed that the continued attacks is war crimes against humanity, saying they form part of Israel’s ongoing genocide on the Gaza Strip despite the declared ceasefire.
He called on the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council, and international human rights organizations to move beyond statements of condemnation and take concrete action to compel Israel to halt its attacks and hold those responsible accountable under international law.
The Gaza Government Media Office also held Israel and the United States fully responsible for the collapse of the ceasefire and the continued loss of Palestinian lives, while reaffirming the resilience of the Palestinians in the face of the ongoing genocide.
