Gaza Herald – Israeli forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday through demolitions, artillery shelling, and gunfire targeting multiple areas across the enclave.
A local source reported that Bassem Masad Ermailat succumbed to wounds sustained in an Israeli strike on Al-Qadisiyah camp, west of Khan Younis, two days earlier.
The source also said Israeli drones opened fire on residential homes and tents sheltering displaced families near Al-Mahatta Mosque in Al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City.
Israeli forces carried out two demolition operations south of Khan Younis, while Israeli drones flew at low altitude over the northern part of the city.
Israeli artillery also shelled areas west of Rafah, while illumination flares were fired over southern Khan Younis.
Israeli forces have continued to breach the ceasefire through airstrikes, artillery shelling, and attacks targeting displaced civilians, alongside demolitions within what is known as the “Yellow Line” area, while maintaining restrictions on the entry of goods, humanitarian aid, and travel.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the death toll since the ceasefire took effect on October 10 has risen to 1,109 Palestinians killed and 3,578 injured, in addition to 800 bodies recovered from beneath the rubble.
The ministry added that the overall toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,232 killed and 173,686 injured, underscoring the high human cost of Israel’s ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
