Ten Palestinians Injured After Wall Collapse Near Gaza Port

Gaza Herald – Ten Palestinians were injured on Friday evening after a wall collapsed near Khamis Abu Hasira Restaurant, close to Gaza City’s seaport.

Local sources said the wall suddenly gave way, injuring several people who were gathered in the area.

Since the start of Israel’s war on Gaza, Israeli airstrikes have caused extensive structural damage to thousands of buildings across the Strip, leaving many at risk of collapsing at any moment. Weather conditions, along with vibrations from ongoing airstrikes and controlled demolitions carried out by Israeli forces, have further weakened these structures.

The incident comes as Palestinian authorities continue to warn residents about the dangers of entering or remaining near damaged buildings, many of which have been deemed uninhabitable and pose an immediate threat to civilian lives.

Despite the risks, many Palestinians continue to shelter inside damaged homes, choosing them over deteriorating tents that offer little protection from harsh weather and difficult living conditions.

The incident highlights the long-term consequences of Israel’s military campaign on Gaza’s civilian infrastructure. As reconstruction remains stalled and large sections of the Strip lie in ruins, countless families are forced to choose between unsafe, damaged homes and overcrowded tents that offer little protection from the elements.
