Israeli Forces Continue Ceasefire Violations with Shelling and Demolitions Across Gaza

Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces committed 14 new ceasefire violations across the Gaza Strip on Friday, according to local reports. The incidents included artillery shelling, live fire, demolition of residential buildings, and intensive aerial surveillance by aircraft and drones in both northern and southern Gaza.

In southern Gaza, Israeli artillery shelled areas northwest of Rafah and south of Khan Younis, while tanks opened heavy fire south of the city. The attacks coincided with low-altitude flights by Israeli helicopters and reconnaissance drones over Khan Younis. Israeli naval vessels also fired heavily off the coast, as illumination flares were launched over western Rafah.

In northern Gaza, Israeli artillery targeted the eastern outskirts of Jabalia, where military forces also demolished residential buildings east of the Jabalia refugee camp. Explosions were reported near the so-called “American area” west of Beit Lahia, while surveillance drones flew extensively over the region.

In Gaza City, Israeli occupation forces carried out additional demolitions of homes and residential buildings in the city’s eastern neighborhoods. Occupation vehicles also opened fire toward the eastern part of Al-Tuffah neighborhood, while naval forces continued heavy gunfire off Gaza City’s coastline alongside the deployment of illumination flares.

The latest incidents follow 13 reported ceasefire violations on Thursday, most of them in southern Gaza, which reportedly left four Palestinians killed and several others wounded.

Separately, Gaza’s Government Media Office stated on Thursday that the ongoing Israeli genocide, now entering its 1,000th day, has caused an estimated $80 billion in direct losses across 15 vital sectors, reflecting the scale of destruction affecting infrastructure, the economy, and public services.

According to official figures released by Palestinian health authorities, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025, has risen to 1,053, while 3,406 others have been injured.
