Gaza Herald – The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza announced on Monday that Israeli occupation authorities have committed 3,465 documented violations of the ceasefire agreement during the 260 days since the truce came into effect.
According to a statistical report released by the GMO, the violations have resulted in the killing of 1,045 Palestinians, the injury of 3,380 others, and the detention of 113 civilians during the ceasefire period.
The report stated that Israel has continued to obstruct the delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza. Of the 156,000 aid trucks scheduled to enter the Strip under the ceasefire arrangements, only 55,539 trucks have been allowed in, representing a compliance rate of just 36%.
The GMO also highlighted restrictions on movement through the Rafah border crossing, saying that thousands of Palestinians have been prevented from leaving Gaza. Since the agreement to reopen the crossing, only 8,016 travelers have been permitted to depart out of the 21,800 people expected to travel, reflecting the same 36% compliance rate.
The Government Media Office condemned Israel’s systematic policy of targeting Palestinians and continuing deadly attacks despite the ceasefire, holding the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian conditions across the Gaza Strip.
It also urged international mediators and guarantors of the ceasefire agreement to take immediate action to ensure Israel complies with all provisions of the deal and to halt the ongoing and documented violations.
