Israeli Drone Strike Wounds Five Palestinians as Gaza Bombardment Intensifies

Gaza Herald –Five Palestinians were wounded, some critically, in an Israeli drone strike on Gaza City’s Sheikh Radwan neighborhood on Friday, as Israeli forces intensified artillery shelling, gunfire, and home demolitions across the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces carried out attacks across northern, central, and southern Gaza on October 16, targeting residential areas and locations sheltering displaced Palestinians.

The attacks included explosive-laden vehicles used to demolish homes, tank fire, helicopter strikes, and naval shelling.

Five Palestinians Wounded in Gaza City Drone Strike

An Israeli drone struck the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza City, injuring five Palestinians, according to a WAFA correspondent.

Some of the wounded were in critical condition.

The strike came as Israeli forces continued shelling eastern Gaza City and demolishing buildings in areas devastated by months of bombardment.

East of the city, Israeli troops detonated an explosive-laden robotic vehicle to destroy remaining residential structures.

Two additional explosive-laden robots were detonated in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, causing powerful blasts.

The force of explosions east of Gaza City also caused part of a house to collapse in Sheikh Radwan, according to the report.

Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of the Tuffah neighborhood, while artillery struck eastern areas of the city.

Israeli Forces Open Fire Near Al-Bureij Refugee Camp

In central Gaza, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire north of the Al-Bureij refugee camp.

The gunfire added to the continuing military attacks across the territory, where Palestinian families remain exposed to Israeli operations despite the ceasefire.

Israeli Tanks Fire Toward Displaced Palestinians’ Tents in Rafah

Israeli attacks also continued across southern Gaza.

Off the coast of Rafah, Israeli naval vessels fired several shells into the sea, while helicopter gunships attacked western areas of the city.

Israeli tanks also opened fire toward tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah.

In Khan Younis, Israeli tanks fired heavily east of the city, while artillery struck southern neighborhoods.

The attacks extended across areas where Palestinians have endured repeated displacement and widespread destruction during Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Friday’s bombardment adds to the continuing Israeli military operations across the Strip despite the ceasefire agreement, leaving Palestinian civilians facing renewed attacks on residential areas and displacement shelters.
