Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip on Sunday through shelling, gunfire, and the destruction of residential buildings, causing further Palestinian casualties.
Six Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire in central, western, and southern Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Two other Palestinians were injured when Israeli forces opened fire toward tents sheltering displaced families near Shuja’iyya Junction, east of Gaza City.
Israeli forces also carried out two demolition operations in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of the city.
Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward areas near the so-called Yellow Line, east of the Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, while Israeli artillery shelled areas east of the city.
Israeli military vehicles also opened fire east of the Bureij refugee camp and launched illumination flares over the same area. Meanwhile, Israeli artillery targeted Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israeli military vehicles also fired heavily toward tents housing displaced Palestinians in the Al-Mawasi areas of Khan Younis and Rafah.
Eight Palestinians Killed as Israeli Forces Continue Ceasefire Violations
The Israeli military continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza as the deal enters its 369th day, carrying out airstrikes, opening direct fire on civilians and tents sheltering displaced families, and demolishing residential buildings.
These attacks killed eight Palestinians and injured others over the past 24 hours.
Palestinian Wajdi Al-Sous was killed when Israeli forces struck his motorcycle with three missiles on Salah Al-Din Street, near the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
In Gaza City, Israeli forces killed four Palestinians and injured eight others in an attack near Panda Mall in the western part of the city.
Local sources identified those killed as Muath Hassouna, Alaa Abu Amr, Ahmed Hussein Abu Amra, and Mohammed Arhaim.
Medical sources also reported that 44-year-old Mohammed Walid Saad Al-Nakhala was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting Yaffa Street.
Meanwhile, Mousa Abu Dan died from wounds sustained the previous day when Israeli forces bombed a tent in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis.
Israeli Gunfire Targets Displacement Areas
Several Palestinians were injured as Israeli forces continued firing toward tents sheltering displaced families along the so-called Yellow Line, which separates areas under Israeli military control from other parts of the Gaza Strip.
A Palestinian man and a pregnant woman were injured when Israeli forces opened direct fire on displacement tents near Shuja’iyya Junction, east of Gaza City.
On Saturday evening, two Palestinian women were also injured by Israeli gunfire in the Ard Al-Laymoun area of Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis.
The incidents come amid continued Israeli attacks affecting civilians and displaced families across the Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire agreement.
Israeli Forces Demolish Four Residential Buildings
As part of ongoing demolition operations, Israeli forces destroyed four residential buildings after issuing evacuation orders.
The demolitions included a building near Shuja’iyya Junction in eastern Gaza City, another near Al-Tawam Junction northwest of the city, and a third on Al-Nasr Street in central Gaza City.
A house was also demolished in the town of Al-Zawayda in central Gaza.
These operations come amid continued Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement, resulting in further deaths, injuries, and the destruction of homes and civilian property.
Gaza Death Toll Rises to 74,370 Since October 2023
In its latest update on Saturday, Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from Israel’s genocidal campaign since October 7, 2023, had risen to 74,370 Palestinians killed and 175,371 injured.
The ministry reported that hospitals across the Gaza Strip had received the bodies of 10 Palestinians killed and treated 65 injured people over the previous 48 hours.
Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, approximately 1,481 Palestinians have been killed and another 5,254 injured, according to the ministry.
The bodies of 836 Palestinians have also been recovered during that period.
The ministry added that 106 previously unrecorded deaths had been included in the cumulative death toll following the completion and verification of their records by the committee responsible for confirming fatalities.
These additions were made following the ministry’s previous statistical update on October 3, 2026.
