West Bank Fuel Prices Rise in October Amid Global Oil Hikes

Gaza Herald – The General Petroleum Authority announced on Wednesday the approved fuel prices for the West Bank for October 2026. This decision comes amidst rising oil and fuel costs in global markets.

The authority explained that the price increase reflects the continuous rise in global oil prices. This trend has led to higher fuel costs in both the Israeli market and the source country.

According to the authority, the government decided to provide additional support worth 10 million shekels. This measure aims to limit the rise in fuel prices during October and alleviate living burdens on citizens.

The announcement was made under the directives of Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa. The government emphasized that these measures are intended to mitigate the impact of external economic pressures.

The authority confirmed that announced prices will decrease if any changes occur in the data that led to the current increases. This statement provides a conditional outlook for future pricing adjustments.

Under the new pricing scheme in the West Bank, the price of one liter of 95 octane gasoline reached 8.17 shekels. Meanwhile, the price for one liter of 98 octane gasoline was set at 9.73 shekels.

The price of one liter of diesel was determined at 8.99 shekels. Additionally, the cost of a 12-kilogram domestic gas cylinder was fixed at 90 shekels.

These figures represent the official rates adopted for the month. They reflect the current economic reality and the specific directives issued by the relevant authorities.

The General Petroleum Authority continues to monitor global market trends closely. Any significant shifts in international oil prices may trigger further reviews of local fuel costs.

Citizens are advised to check the latest updates from the authority. The provided support package is designed to offer temporary relief against inflationary pressures.
