Israeli Forces Convert Ramallah Home to Military Base for Second Time

Gaza Herald – Israeli military forces entered a residence in the village of Al-Mughayr, located north of Ramallah, early Sunday morning. The troops converted the property into a temporary military base after compelling the occupants to leave.

Local sources stated that soldiers informed Ahmed Nael Haj Mohammad’s family they would maintain control over the house for forty-eight hours. This directive followed the immediate removal of all household members from the premises.

Armed personnel subsequently dispersed throughout the interior of the building. They established a presence within the structure to serve as a forward operating post during this period of occupation.

This incident marks the second time recently that the same dwelling has been seized by the army. Previously, the military utilized the identical location as a barracks for two days before withdrawing temporarily.

The repeated targeting of this specific property highlights an ongoing pattern of using private civilian homes for tactical military purposes in the area surrounding Ramallah.

Residents in Al-Mughayr have expressed concern regarding the frequency of these incursions. The forced displacement of families remains a recurring consequence of such operations in the region.

No injuries were reported among the residents during the initial entry. The family was allowed to remain nearby while their home was secured by the occupying forces.

This report was produced in the Gaza Herald newsroom.
