Local sources reported that troops shut down the Atara checkpoint and Ein Sinia, alongside entry points to the towns of Aboud and Nabi Salih. These closures were accompanied by strict inspection procedures applied to both vehicles and individuals passing through.
The rigorous checks led to large accumulations of cars and extended traffic crises on roads leading to Ramallah and surrounding villages. Citizens were forced to seek alternative routes as authorities maintained the closure of various access points in the region.
This operation is part of continuous military measures implemented across the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate and its surroundings for more than two weeks. The ongoing campaign has included the sealing of barriers, installation of iron gates, and placement of sudden roadblocks.
These actions have severely hindered the freedom of movement for residents, complicating travel between towns within the governorate and at its main entry points. The persistent restrictions continue to impact daily life and economic activity in the area.
