Gaza Herald – Israeli military forces and armed settlers launched an attack on residential properties in the village of Abu Fahlah, located northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. The incident occurred during the evening hours of Monday.
Local sources reported that a group of heavily armed settlers targeted houses situated on the outskirts of the village. The attackers attempted to breach several residences while local residents actively defended their homes against the intrusion.
According to these sources, Israeli troops fired live ammunition directly at the villagers as they resisted the assault. This shooting coincided with the military’s entry into the village and its subsequent deployment across various neighborhoods within the area.
In a separate but simultaneous event, armed settlers attempted to enter the home of Mohammad Arif Muslem, the principal of the Tarmesya school. This incident took place in the Khirbet Al-Marajim area, which lies between the villages of Al-Mughier and Duma, situated between Ramallah and Nablus.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued their incursions into the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah. The military established a checkpoint in the center of the town and another one at the entrance of Deir Ghassir, significantly obstructing the movement of citizens in the region.
The eastern districts of Ramallah are currently witnessing an escalation in attacks by both settlers and Israeli forces. Military measures have been tightened at village entrances and connecting roads to restrict access.
Data from the Anti-Wall and Settlement Resistance Bureau indicates that soldiers and settlers carried out 2,030 incidents during August alone. Of these, 1,402 were executed by Israeli forces and 628 by settlers.
These violent acts were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Hebron, Bethlehem, Jenin, and Jerusalem, marking a significant rise in tensions across the occupied territories.
