Palestinian human rights bodies warn that the military occupation continues to enforce enforced disappearances, refusing to disclose the location, health status, or identity of hundreds of detainees held under brutal conditions.

Rights groups further underscored harrowing testimonies from survivors indicating that dozens of Palestinians abducted from Gaza were subjected to field executions before ever reaching formal detention facilities.

Furthermore, Israel’s policy of withholding the remains of dead Palestinians as bargaining chips continues. The occupation state currently retains the bodies of 100 identified Palestinian prisoners, 89 of whom died in custody after the start of the current assault on Gaza, denying families the basic right to grieve and conduct proper burials.
