Gaza Herald — Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said that one of its buses carrying humanitarian workers was struck in an attack in Gaza City, injuring one staff member.
In a statement posted on X, the independent humanitarian organization said the bus was carrying 10 humanitarian workers when it was damaged in a strike, leaving one staff member injured.
MSF said the vehicle was clearly identifiable, with the organization’s logo displayed prominently on its roof.
Disregard for Humanitarian and Medical Workers’ Safety
MSF said the attack demonstrated a “blatant disregard” for the safety of humanitarian and medical personnel, adding that Israeli forces had “once again shown blatant disregard for the safety of humanitarian workers and medical teams.”
“There is no safe place in Gaza,” the organization said, renewing its call for the protection of civilians, medical personnel and humanitarian workers carrying out lifesaving operations.
MSF also called for respect for international law and stressed that clearly marked medical and humanitarian vehicles must be protected from attack.
The incident comes amid continuing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and repeated international warnings over the safety of civilians, medical personnel and humanitarian workers operating in the enclave.
Since October 2023, Israel’s war on Gaza, backed by the United States, has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and injured over 174,000 others, with women and children among the victims.
