Gaza Herald –The Israeli occupation army has continued using armed quadcopter drones to deliberately target Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 60 people since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said Saturday.
The Geneva-based rights group said the victims were killed either directly by armed quadcopters or by munitions dropped from the drones between the start of the ceasefire and early September 2026.
Euro-Med said repeated attacks on children, displaced Palestinians, farmers and shepherds indicate what it described as a continuing pattern of deliberate civilian killings rather than isolated incidents.
Quadcopters are small, remotely operated drones equipped with advanced cameras, surveillance and target-tracking systems. Some can also carry firearms or explosives, allowing operators to closely monitor individuals before attacking them.
According to Euro-Med, these capabilities significantly reduce the possibility of mistaken identification and increase the obligation on Israeli forces to refrain from attacking when a person’s civilian status is apparent.
The organization documented three main patterns of use: directly shooting visible individuals, dropping explosives on civilian gatherings, and targeting Palestinians approaching their homes or land near the so-called Yellow Line.
Euro-Med said children were among those targeted and cited cases in which Palestinian civilians suffered death or permanent disabilities from quadcopter attacks.
The rights group argued that the repeated targeting of civilians could amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity and called for immediate international action and accountability.
It also urged the preservation of evidence, including drone flight data, targeting records and operator information, for potential future investigations and prosecutions.
