Israeli Forces Wound Palestinian in Gaza as Ceasefire Violations Escalate

Gaza Herald – Israeli forces opened fire across Gaza early Monday, wounding a Palestinian in Hamad City, northwest of Khan Younis, in another violation of the fragile ceasefire.

Israeli tanks fired heavily toward residential towers in Hamad City, while Israeli artillery shelled areas west of Rafah from positions east of Khan Younis.

In central Gaza, Israeli forces also opened fire from military vehicles and drones toward the eastern areas of Bureij and Maghazi refugee camps.

The latest attacks come amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire that has been in place across Gaza since October 2025, with repeated shelling and gunfire leaving Palestinians killed and wounded and keeping civilians under persistent threat.
