Gaza Herald – Israeli forces continued violating the Gaza ceasefire on Wednesday, carrying out artillery fire and shooting attacks across several areas of the besieged Strip and wounding a Palestinian in central Khan Younis, according to local sources.
Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire northeast of Khan Younis, while Israeli tanks fired toward areas south and east of the city before renewed gunfire was reported farther east. Israeli naval forces also fired shells toward the waters off Khan Younis.
In Gaza City, eastern areas came under Israeli artillery fire and tank gunfire, while the Tuffah neighborhood in the east was also shelled.
In northern Gaza, the area of Al-Atatra west of Beit Lahia was subjected to Israeli artillery fire alongside the firing of flares.
The latest escalation follows an Israeli drone strike on a café at Gaza’s western port on Tuesday evening that killed six Palestinians and wounded others, according to Palestinian medical authorities.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, 1,266 Palestinians have been killed and 4,200 wounded since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, with the remains of 813 Palestinians recovered.
Since Israel began its genocide on Gaza in October 2023, the ministry says the Palestinian death toll has reached 73,400, with 174,312 Palestinians wounded.
The ministry said a number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble and on roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews continue to face difficulties reaching them.
