Gaza Herald – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that hospitals across the Strip received one Palestinian killed and one injured over the past 24 hours, as rescue teams continue to face severe difficulties reaching victims trapped beneath the rubble or stranded on the roads.
The ministry said several victims remain inaccessible due to the widespread destruction and the severe lack of equipment needed for search-and-rescue and recovery operations.
Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 1,259 Palestinians have been killed, while 4,146 others have been injured. Rescue teams have also recovered the remains of 807 Palestinians from under the rubble.
The cumulative death toll since Israel began its genocide on Gaza on October 7, 2023, has now reached 73,387 Palestinians, according to the ministry.
The total number of injuries since the beginning of the genocide has risen to 174,257, placing further strain on Gaza’s already devastated healthcare system.
The figures underscore the enormous human toll of Israel’s genocide, while thousands of Palestinians remain missing or are believed to be trapped beneath destroyed homes and buildings, with rescue teams struggling to reach them.
For Palestinians in Gaza, the ceasefire has not ended the humanitarian catastrophe. The immediate priorities remain protecting civilians, enabling rescue teams to reach those trapped under the rubble, ensuring access to medical care and humanitarian aid, and ending the conditions that continue to put Palestinian lives at risk.
