Gaza Herald – Nine Palestinians, including three children, were killed early Sunday in a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, according to local sources, in the latest escalation despite an agreed roadmap to advance the second phase of the ceasefire.
Three members of Al-Hams family were killed when an Israeli strike hit their apartment in Al-Mawasi area of Al-Qarara, northwest of Khan Younis. The victims were identified as Mahmoud Zaki Al-Hams, his wife Fatima Bahloul, and their young son Ahmed.
In central Gaza, an Israeli helicopter strike targeted an apartment in the Al-Masha’la area south of Deir al-Balah, killing Kamal Abu Muailiq (Abu Nabhan) and his wife, while several others were injured.
Another helicopter strike hit an apartment in Al-Sousi Tower west of Gaza City, killing Abdullah Adnan Abu Al-Tayf, his wife Abeer Kamal Kazem Anan, and their child Azzam. The body of a fetus was recovered the following morning, bringing the death toll from the attack to four.
In Gaza City’s Old City, Mohammed Abd Abu Ras was killed by Israeli gunfire on Deir Al-Latin Street. According to local sources, Abu Ras had been released from Israeli detention just one week earlier.
Several other Palestinians were wounded when Israeli artillery shelled the area around the Dawla Junction south of the Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City. The shelling coincided with the advance of Israeli tanks and gunfire directed toward tents sheltering displaced families in Abu Marahil camp.
Israeli artillery also struck eastern Gaza City, while helicopter gunships carried out additional attacks north of the city. Further artillery bombardment targeted eastern Khan Younis and areas northwest of Rafah in southern Gaza.
