Gaza Herald – Two Palestinians were killed and several others wounded on Sunday as Israeli forces continued attacks across the Gaza Strip amid ongoing violations of the October 2025 ceasefire.
According to local sources, the two victims were brought to Al-Shifa Medical Complex after Israeli artillery shelled Kashko Street in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, overnight.
The latest fatalities came hours after Reda Abu Asrour was killed and her husband injured in another Israeli artillery strike targeting eastern Al-Zaytoun on Saturday night. Elsewhere, a young girl was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the Bir 19 area of Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis.
Additional injuries were reported after Israeli forces struck a residential apartment in Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, before dawn. Israeli forces also carried out demolition operations east of Gaza City while shelling the eastern Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
In southern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire south of Khan Younis, while Israeli aircraft launched an airstrike on the northern part of the city.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 1,156 Palestinians have been killed and 3,703 injured since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025, in addition to 802 bodies recovered from the rubble. Since October 7, 2023, the overall death toll has risen to 73,281 killed and 173,811 wounded, as Israeli attacks continue across the besieged Strip.
