Health Ministry: Gaza Death Toll and Injuries Surpass 246,000 Since October 2023

Gaza Herald – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Monday that the total number of Palestinians killed and injured since the start of Israel’s genocide on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has risen to 246,151.

According to the ministry’s daily statistical report, the death toll has reached 72,980 Palestinians, while the number of injured has climbed to 173,171, with many suffering severe and life-altering wounds.

The ministry stated that hospitals across Gaza received 9 fatalities and 43 wounded individuals over the past 24 hours as a result of continued Israeli attacks and reported violations of the ceasefire agreement.

It added that many victims remain trapped beneath the rubble of bombarded buildings or lying in inaccessible areas, as rescue and civil defense teams continue to face significant obstacles in reaching them due to ongoing field conditions.

Official figures also indicate that since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025, a total of 970 Palestinians have been killed, 3,063 injured, and 782 bodies recovered from beneath the rubble.

Meanwhile, Gaza has witnessed new incidents of shelling and demolitions targeting homes and civilian infrastructure, as Israeli occupation forces continue attacks despite the ceasefire agreement brokered by regional mediators and supported by the United States. The ministry said the ongoing attacks have resulted in additional casualties and further deterioration of humanitarian conditions across the territory.
