Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces continued their violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement on Wednesday, carrying out extensive shelling and large-scale demolition operations across eastern areas of the Gaza Strip, particularly east of Khan Younis and Gaza City.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces conducted at least eight detonation operations east of Khan Younis overnight and into the early morning hours, with massive explosions heard throughout the area.
A similar detonation operation was also carried out east of Gaza City, according to local reports.
Sources on the ground said Israeli occupation forces continue to systematically destroy remaining homes and civilian structures within the area known as the “Yellow Line,” further expanding the devastation in eastern Gaza.
Israeli artillery shelling targeted areas east of Gaza City, while military vehicles opened heavy fire east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Meanwhile, ten Palestinians, including children, were injured late Tuesday after an Israeli drone strike targeted Al-Shati (Beach) refugee camp west of Gaza City.
Local sources said the strike hit civilians near Abu Asi School in the northern section of the camp, causing multiple injuries.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, two Palestinians were wounded, one of them critically, in an Israeli airstrike targeting Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis.
Israeli occupation forces have continued airstrikes, artillery attacks, demolitions, and restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and civilian travel despite the ceasefire agreement that came into effect in October 2025.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025, has risen to 936, while 2,860 others have been injured. Authorities have also documented the recovery of 781 bodies from different areas across the Gaza Strip during the same period.
The ministry’s cumulative figures indicate that since the beginning of the genocide on Gaza on October 7, 2023, at least 72,798 Palestinians have been killed and 172,967 wounded, underscoring the continuing humanitarian toll of the war.
