Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces carried out artillery shelling and live fire attacks across several areas of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning, marking a new escalation despite the ongoing ceasefire agreement.
According to local sources, Israeli naval gunboats fired shells off the coast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while military vehicles stationed east of Gaza City opened heavy fire alongside artillery bombardment targeting the same area.
Israeli warships also opened fire toward the shoreline of Gaza City, while artillery shelling struck areas northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
The attacks come amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10 last year.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the death toll since the ceasefire began has risen to 854 killed and 2,453 injured, in addition to the recovery of 770 bodies from beneath the rubble, highlighting the continuing human cost despite the truce.
