Gaza Herald – The Israeli army continues its military operations inside the Gaza Strip, flagrantly violating the recently mediated ceasefire agreement between Palestinian resistance factions and Israel.
In recent weeks, Israeli occupation forces have set up dozens of military sites along the so-called “Yellow Line,” a temporary demarcation stretching from northern to southern Gaza, running roughly parallel to Salah al-Din Street but slightly to the east. These positions undermine the notion of temporary deployments inside the Strip and effectively extend Israel’s military control deeper into Gaza.
The army has taken advantage of elevated areas overlooking western Gaza to establish these sites, clearing all existing homes and civilian structures, and installing floodlights that turn these zones into permanently illuminated areas visible from distant locations. Some of these sites are located between Rafah and Khan Younis, in Ma’an, Bani Suhaila east of Khan Younis, east of Deir al-Balah, Al-Bureij, Al-Maghazi, Shuja’iyya east of Gaza City, and northern Gaza.
Israeli bulldozers continue to level previously destroyed areas, while large-scale demolitions and artillery shelling persist in eastern Gaza. Nightly tank fire, live ammunition, and near-daily airstrikes target residents in areas Israel claims are “safe zones.”
Since the start of Israel’s genocidal war on October 7, 2023, the army has systematically destroyed Gaza’s essential infrastructure, preventing displaced residents from returning to their homes. Despite the ceasefire agreement entering into effect on October 10, 2025, Israel continues daily attacks on civilians across the Strip.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, more than 72,289 Palestinians have been killed, with roughly 172,040 injured, and thousands remain missing under the rubble of destroyed homes.
