Gaza Herald- The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has announced that two people were killed and twenty others injured over the past twenty-four hours as the human toll continues to rise despite the ceasefire remaining in effect. Authorities warned that a number of victims are still trapped under rubble or lying in the streets due to the inability of ambulance and civil defense teams to reach them.
In its daily statistical report, the ministry stated that medical teams are facing severe field challenges that are hindering rescue operations, suggesting that the actual death toll is likely higher, with victims yet to be recovered.
According to official figures, the total number of people killed since the ceasefire was declared on eleven October has reached six hundred and seventy-three, with a further one thousand seven hundred and ninety-nine injured. Rescue teams have also recorded seven hundred and fifty-six cases of bodies retrieved from beneath the rubble, highlighting the scale of destruction and the extent of devastated areas.
In the same context, the cumulative death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since seven October two thousand twenty-three has risen to seventy-two thousand two hundred and forty nine, with one hundred and seventy one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight injured. These figures reflect the ongoing catastrophic humanitarian impact on the civilian population, amid major challenges facing the healthcare system and the continued disruption of essential services.
