Gaza Herald – A Palestinian civilian was killed Monday morning in an Israeli strike targeting the Shujayea neighborhood east of Gaza City, as Israeli forces continued their daily violations of the ceasefire agreement, in effect since October 10.
Artillery shelling and gunfire were reported in multiple areas across the Strip. In southern Gaza, Israeli artillery targeted eastern Khan Younis and the city of Rafah, with gunfire directed toward al-Mawasi area.
Israeli naval forces also opened fire toward the coast of Gaza City, while additional artillery rounds struck eastern neighborhoods of the city.
In northern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles fired heavily toward Jabalia refugee camp, according to local reports.
The escalation comes amid ongoing accusations of repeated breaches of the truce agreement between Hamas and Israel, which formally entered into force in October but has seen continued hostilities on the ground.
