Gaza Herald – The fourth group of patients from Gaza departed Thursday morning toward the Rafah Crossing, preparing for travel abroad to receive critical medical treatment. The evacuation included patients in urgent conditions, coordinated under strict humanitarian arrangements.
They left the Palestinian Red Crescent headquarters in Khan Younis, accompanied by World Health Organization staff, as part of an organized effort to transfer vulnerable patients through the border. Health teams oversaw the operation to ensure safe and timely passage amid challenging conditions.
Gaza’s healthcare system has been under extreme strain since the start of the genocide in October 2023.
Thousands of patients have been unable to access specialized treatment, with chronic shortages of medicines, diagnostic equipment, and functioning medical facilities, leaving tens of thousands at risk and reliant on rare evacuations like this one.
