Israeli Army Kills Two in Gaza as Airstrikes and Demolitions Continue

Gaza Herald – Two Palestinians were killed on Thursday as Israeli forces continued violating the Gaza ceasefire, according to local sources. The incidents came amid renewed air raids, artillery fire, and large-scale building demolitions across the enclave.

One of the victims was identified as Baha Mohammad Al-Fajam, who was shot dead by Israeli troops in the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Separately, Basil Al-Haimouni, an ex-prisoner exiled from Hebron to Gaza, died from wounds sustained in an Israeli strike that targeted him a day earlier.

Israeli warplanes carried out multiple airstrikes on eastern Gaza City, while ground forces detonated residential buildings in the same area. Artillery shelling was also reported across eastern districts of the city, accompanied by sustained gunfire.

In southern Gaza, Israeli armored vehicles opened fire east of Khan Younis, while attack helicopters fired toward Rafah. Gunboats shelled the coastline off Khan Younis and Rafah, as helicopters also opened fire near Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

The latest escalation followed a deadly day on Wednesday in which 23 Palestinians were killed. Israeli forces have continued near-daily ceasefire violations since the truce took effect in October, Gaza-based sources said.
