Gaza Civil Defense Rejects Israeli Claims on Ambulance Use

Gaza Herald – Gaza’s Civil Defense on Wednesday categorically rejected Israeli occupation military claims alleging that Palestinian fighters used ambulances, calling the accusations false and deliberately misleading.

In a statement, the agency said ambulances were never used to transport armed individuals, stressing that the Israeli narrative has no factual basis. Officials said the claims were part of a broader effort to criminalize humanitarian work in Gaza.

Civil Defense clarified that individuals seen carrying weapons in footage released by the Israeli army were members of the civilian police force. They were armed with personal weapons while carrying out traffic control and securing ambulance routes to ensure the safe evacuation of the wounded.

The agency accused Israel of fabricating evidence and selectively editing video clips to deceive public opinion and justify continued attacks on civilians, including repeated strikes on medical crews, paramedics, and ambulances.

Gaza’s Civil Defense reaffirmed its adherence to international humanitarian law and called on human rights organizations and media outlets to expose what it described as false allegations, and to act to protect humanitarian workers operating under fire in the besieged enclave.
