Gaza Herald – A Hamas leadership delegation, headed by Khalil al-Hayya, the movement’s head in Gaza, arrived in Cairo on Tuesday evening to discuss the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
According to Hamas, the talks with Egyptian officials will focus on completing the first phase of the agreement, including reopening the Rafah crossing for travel in both directions.
The delegation is also set to address accelerating the transition to the second phase, which involves forming the administrative committee and ensuring the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
Meetings are planned with Palestinian faction leaders to review rapid political and field developments in both Gaza and the West Bank.
