Palestinian Child Killed by Israeli Gunfire in Eastern Gaza Amid Rising Israeli Ceasefire Violations

Gaza Herald- A Palestinian girl was killed on Tuesday evening after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in eastern Gaza City.

Local sources reported that 11-year-old Dana Hussein Ahmad Maqqat succumbed to her wounds after being shot by the Israeli army in the Al-Zarqa area, northeast of Gaza City.

The tragic incident comes amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement. The Government Media Office in Gaza documented 969 violations by Israeli forces since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10.

According to the office, these breaches have led to the killing of 418 Palestinians, injuries to 1,141 others, and 45 arbitrary arrests.

The ceasefire agreement, which took effect on October 10, 2024, followed a brutal Israeli assault that began on October 8, 2023. That military campaign resulted in over 70,000 victims and 171,000 wounded, the majority of whom were children and women.
