Gaza Herald – Mohammed Adnan Bakr, a 35-year-old Palestinian fisherman, succumbed to injuries sustained earlier today during a pursuit by Israeli naval forces off the coast of Gaza. He was rushed to a local hospital but could not survive the wounds inflicted in the attack.
The incident highlights ongoing Israeli harassment of Gaza’s fishing community, where naval patrols routinely chase and fire upon fishermen, restrict access to fishing zones, and damage livelihoods. Bakr’s killing is the latest in a long pattern of violations that have targeted civilians attempting to earn a living at sea.
