Gaza Herald – The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas Movement, announced the killing of its spokesman Abu Ubaida, and a group of senior commanders who were killed during the Israeli genocide.
In a televised statement, the Qassam Brigades announced the killing of senior commander Mohammed Sinwar, known as “Abu Ibrahim,” Chief of Staff of the Qassam Brigades, along with a number of prominent commanders and fighters who were killed on the battlefield and inside command-and-control rooms while carrying out their duties without retreat or hesitation.
The Qassam new military spokesperson Abu Ubaida said: “With pride and honor, we announce the martyrdom of the great commander Mohammed Sinwar ‘Abu Ibrahim,’ Chief of Staff of the Qassam Brigades, the worthy successor to a worthy predecessor, a man of exceptional military intellect who led the Brigades through an extremely difficult phase, succeeding the great martyr of the Ommah, Abu Khaled al-Deif.”
He added that the Brigades also mourn commander Mohammed Shabana “Abu Anas,” commander of the Rafah Brigade, who was killed alongside Yahya Sinwar “Abu Ibrahim,” as well as a group of fellow commanders and fighters. He further announced the killing of senior commander Hikmat al-Eissa “Abu Omar,” highlighting his leadership roles across multiple departments, including training, military academies, and combat weapons, as well as Sheikh Raed Saad “Abu Muadh,” head of military manufacturing and former operations commander.
Abu Ubaida continued: “As we stand before you today, we cannot but pause in reverence for the man of this stature, who so often addressed you with his powerful voice, honest words, and awaited promises, the masked figure loved by millions, whose appearances were eagerly anticipated, who became a source of inspiration, and whose red keffiyeh stood as an icon for all free people around the world: the martyred leader, the spokesperson of the Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida.”
He also announced the killing of commander Hudhayfa Samir Abdullah al-Kahlout “Abu Ibrahim,” saying he fell after two decades of confronting the enemy and uplifting believers, having led the Qassam media apparatus with distinction and conveyed to the world the unfolding of Al-Aqsa Flood battle and the feats of Gaza’s fighters with professionalism and resolve.
The Qassam spokesperson stressed that October 7 marked a thunderous eruption against oppression, siege, and aggression targeting Al-Aqsa and the Palestinian people, violations that crossed every red line and ignored all warnings and international agreements.
He concluded by affirming that the Palestinian people are defending themselves and will not abandon their weapons as long as occupation persists, declaring that surrender is not an option, even if resistance continues with bare hands, pointing to Rafah and its fighters as living proof of choosing martyrdom over submission.
