Israel Violates Ceasefire With Airstrikes and Shelling Across Gaza

Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the Gaza ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 11, 2025, carrying out airstrikes, artillery fire, and naval attacks that have killed at least 394 Palestinian civilians and wounded 1,075 others, according to health officials.

Local sources reported that Israeli naval boats opened fire offshore near Khan Younis and Rafah early Thursday, while Israeli warplanes struck eastern areas of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Ground forces of the Israeli occupation also opened fire from military vehicles north of Rafah amid ongoing escalation. Since the ceasefire began, Gaza authorities said Israeli occupation forces have committed hundreds of violations, including daily attacks, continued bombardment, and restrictions that prevent rescue teams from reaching victims trapped under rubble.

The International Committee of the Red Cross warned that severe winter weather is causing buildings already damaged by Israeli bombardment during the genocide to collapse, leading to further civilian casualties. The organization said worsening weather conditions are intensifying the humanitarian disaster, especially in heavily destroyed areas, and called for the urgent delivery of permanent shelter supplies to protect civilians.

Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that Israel’s genocide has now killed 70,668 Palestinians and injured 171,152 since October 7, 2023, with 634 bodies recovered from beneath destroyed homes since the ceasefire. Many victims remain buried under rubble or lying in the streets as rescue efforts are crippled by massive destruction and a lack of equipment. Palestinian resistance factions said Israeli occupation violations now exceed 800 incidents, warning that the situation is “extremely dangerous” and threatens the collapse of the ceasefire altogether.
