Gaza Civil Defense Begins Search for Bodies of Missing Palestinians Killed in Genocide

Gaza Herald – Gaza’s Civil Defense announced the launch of operations to search for the bodies of missing Palestinians killed under rubble, as part of ongoing recovery efforts following the Israeli occupation’s genocidal assault on the Gaza Strip.

Civil Defense teams said they are working to retrieve and exhume bodies of killed Palestinians, warning that many remains may be severely decomposed, unrecognizable, or reduced to skeletal remains due to the scale and intensity of the explosives used by the Israeli occupation in targeting residential homes. In some cases, officials warned, no physical trace of bodies may be found because of the destructive force of the bombardment.

The Civil Defense appealed to families of the killed to cooperate in identification efforts, stressing that these operations come amid the devastation left by the genocide, which has buried thousands beneath destroyed neighborhoods and erased entire families under the rubble.
