Gaza Herald -The Israeli occupation has officially killed senior Al-Qassam Brigades commander Sheikh Raed Saad in an airstrike that targeted a civilian vehicle near Al-Nabulsi Junction, southwest of Gaza City, on Saturday, in a grave breach of the ceasefire in effect since 10 October 2025.
Medical sources confirmed that seven Palestinians were killed when an Israeli drone struck the passing car directly, completely destroying the vehicle. Ambulance crews recovered the bodies and transferred them to Gaza hospitals. Multiple explosions were heard near Al-Nabulsi Roundabout, a road already marked by an earlier massacre during the genocide.
Israeli media claimed the attack was an assassination operation, while local sources confirmed the vehicle was civilian. The strike comes amid a broader escalation, including overnight air raids, artillery fire, and house demolitions by the Israeli occupation.
In an official statement, Hamas said the attack represents a criminal escalation and a deliberate attempt to sabotage the ceasefire, holding the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the consequences of continued killings, the siege, and the obstruction of humanitarian relief. The movement urged mediators and guarantor states to take urgent action to restrain the occupation and enforce the agreement.
The killing of Raed Saad underscores a continuing pattern of genocide, as the Israeli occupation persists in targeting Palestinian leaders and civilians alike, violating ceasefire commitments while maintaining lethal living conditions across the Gaza Strip.
