Gaza Herald – The Israeli occupation intensified its ongoing genocide on Thursday, shattering the declared ceasefire with heavy artillery strikes and sustained machine-gun fire from military helicopters over eastern Khan Younis.
Local sources confirmed that occupation helicopters unleashed continuous gunfire since early morning on areas east of the city, while artillery units simultaneously bombarded eastern Khan Younis. Ground vehicles also opened intense fire toward southern neighborhoods.
This escalation comes after five Palestinians were killed yesterday, including a child and a woman, in separate Israeli-occupation attacks targeting Jabalia camp and areas on the outskirts of Rafah.
Despite the ceasefire officially taking effect on October 10, the Israeli occupation has repeatedly violated it, continuing its deadly operations across Gaza and deepening the humanitarian catastrophe for civilians trapped under bombardment.
