Gaza Herald – Hamas said Thursday that the death of Yasser Abu Shabab represents the “inevitable fate” awaiting anyone who chooses to collaborate with Israel’s genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people.
The Movement said Abu Shabab had turned himself into a tool of the occupying army, betraying his community and violating the social and national fabric of Gaza.
In a statement, Hamas praised the firm stance of Gaza’s families, clans, and tribes who publicly disowned Abu Shabab and anyone involved in attacks against Palestinians or cooperation with Israeli forces. The movement said Israel’s reliance on “socially and morally fallen groups” to execute its operations in Gaza highlights its failure to break the resilience of the population.
Israeli media reported Thursday that Abu Shabab was killed in Rafah, with Army Radio and Channel 12 noting he was taken to Soroka Hospital where he died of his wounds.
Hamas said Israel cannot protect its collaborators, stressing that anyone who undermines the security of the Palestinian people will “end up discarded by history, stripped of dignity, and without a place among their own community.”
