Journalist Killed in Israeli Drone Strike on Khan Younis

Gaza Herald – Palestinian photojournalist Mahmoud Wadi was killed on Tuesday after an Israeli quadcopter drone targeted central Khan Younis, in yet another attack on media workers during Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Israel’s military has repeatedly targeted journalists throughout the genocide, killing more than 250 media workers since October 2023, one of the deadliest periods for journalists in modern history.

Press crews continue to face drone fire, sniper attacks, and air strikes, despite clear markings identifying them as press and the protections guaranteed under international law.
